Healing modalities as a tool

We’re talking here about stuff like working with crystals, reiki, tarot, angels and angelcards, yoga practice, sacred geometry – the list goes on. Because there’s a buzz going on on the internet about an A to Z list of New Age practices to avoid, which that well known angel specialist Doreen Virtue published lately and which produced a storm of reactions on Youtube by people working with the healing modalities. This triggered a discussion, which is a good thing in itself, and I’m trying to bring a contribution to that discussion.

Healing modalities are tools to get in touch with the deeper side of life. To get healed, to find peace, balance, clarity, mastery over situations, develop compassion, insight, promote creativity and zest for life, for example. We ourselves need to develop the discernment that something works for us, that is, do we benefit from it or not. This differs for everyone and at various stages of our life. What works for us today may be different in a later period. Thus we navigate through life, grow, evolve.

Healing modalities are there, not to identify with as the thing itself, as the ultimate goal, but as a means to get there. Where? To our own soul and the way we evolve to higher and higher levels, with more and more of our talents and gifts on line, in order to be that, to express that, to work with and to bring it into the field of Gaia (=earth). To promote balance, peace, wellbeing, love, health, justice and any other beautiful quality on earth. For humanity as a species that is. Or just for ourselves to begin with and that is great too. That is already a big contribution. Our society needs balanced people, healthy people, joyous people, compassionate people, creative people, intelligent 🤓 people.

So when I say healing modalities, not as the ultimate goal but as a means, then maybe that A to Z list by Doreen Virtue is meant as that. I hope so, because using terminology like ‘they are the tools of the devil’ throws us back into an old, old groove. The type of thinking that led to the witch hunts in the Middle Ages. I guess we are talking about an attempt here to evolve higher and leave behind old belief systems, that keep us stuck in an old groove. Modern vocabulary would be ‘the collapsing of old timelines’, meaning the old grooves disappear, which is great, space for the new to emerge. To me that says it very well. The collapsing of old timelines.

Perhaps one could say the Doreen Virtue issue works like a homeopathic remedy, because now a lot of light workers who use the healing modalities raise their voice to correct some of the misjudgments, if you like. And that is an old issue which went on for ages……the clashing of Paganism and Christianity.

Paganism and Christianity don’t have to bite each other. They can go very well together, hand in hand. I’ve seen a nice blend of it in a Youtube video – https://youtu.be/FVwAG3QpcAE – a woman working with crystals in a relaxation, attuning the chakra’s with them, using white sage to clear the energy and saying a little Christian prayer 🙏. No problem there.

The mind rides the wind

The mind rides the wind.

This scentence comes to mind now, watching how the mind seems to work around anything that piques my interest. Since there’s usualy a lot going on and we live in an information society, I feel the need in myself to come back to my early morning practices after having watched some youtubes yesterday. Because that is endless. At some point we have to stop. The mind becomes overactive.

Having this written down, I now put the I-pad aside, to continue my yogamat rituals. Perhaps see you later, if there’s more to come that ‘makes sense’ if you like.

Later:

Seated again on the yoga mat I looked at a special beautiful color blue in the morning sky. It has a softness and an openness. This is where my attention is drawn to so this is where my mind goes. Ended up after the yoga and spiritual practice session doing a facebook posting on color therapy, that I had watched yesterday on youtube. Because that is what came up again during the meditation. Combining it with my own experiences and inspirations. This is where my heart goes so this is where my mind goes.

The lower back

What the hell does this have to do with lower back pain.
Everyone by now knows I’m amongst the tribe of empath’s, ‘sympath’ a more sympathetic word, I would like to introduce. If you think you are one of them, there’s ton’s of information to be found in youtubes, nonsense and great sense. Learning discernment is our sharpening awareness.
So what the heck does this have to do with the lower back.
Well…I want to share an experience with you from the time this sensitivity was already there but the word empath wasn’t in the ether yet. Pre-internet stage.

Had a conversation yesterday about it with my daughter in law. We agreed that stiff lower backs are our cultural phenomenon. EveryBODY seems to have one. So what’s the information hiding there in these structural stiffened muscles. Does it have to do with the control grid?
Did we have to learn to navigate our animal impulses in our education?

A woman visiting my yoga class had an interesting although also a bit sad story she shared with me yesterday before we began with our practices. She had been falling down and had a pain in the lower back for some weeks. She felt it was related to her sister who was going to die. She came happily telling me yesterday that her sore back was over at last! She thanked me for the practices that had been very supportive. Someone had said to her that her lower back was linked with emotions about her sister. I also felt it like now that her sister had died, also a support had fallen away. We are linked with our family in the lower chacra area’s. So now she had to adjust and even more stand (!) on her own.
In previous class, we had been focussing our attention on the lower back area. What does it feel like. Does it feel stiff, dense, or rather porous, can you perceive a color there, how do the tissues feel. Maybe you can feel a slight widening of the area on the in breath.
Focussing our attention on it also has a healing effect.

So, that having said in between, now the story I want to share.

I’m staying in my caravan that stands on the place of my parents in law, on the camping near the dunes. I’m resting.  I hear a sound below the caravan.  The sound of a little animal walking over a few empty glass bottles, laying there in the grass. Then I hear the sound of this animal making a very sudden leap. Somehow this goes together with a movement of the muscles of my lower back I had never experienced before and never ever experienced after again. For a moment, that whole piece of skin, muscles, tissues, everything that’s there is like a hollow piece of skin, away from the bones underneath them. Like a rather big space in between bones and tissues and muscles. This goes together with a feeling of great relieve. All of a sudden, I feel whole, out of one piece. Awake.

Light

There is the light that is nonphysical and there is the light that infuses into the body in healing, relieving the part in it that became the pain body in a certain layer. Like a distorted hologram or energy field, causing a distortion in the cells and tissues. Infusing into this distortion the light of our attention, awareness, is healing. Not from a personal perspective, but lined up to the whole. At the same time, while being in this atunement/alignment, we are also going to the inside of the physical sensation of the pain, ‘leaning into it’, in the body, where we feel it is located. That promotes great relieve. The body becomes lighter, more transparent. Old pain is removed from the tissues and cells. As Eckart Tollle says, we can only do this ourselves. I’d add here, there is also help from the higher spheres. Last night a nonphysical very fine, transparant blissfull light came to me. What was that? It was the sort of light I recognize from sufi atunements when we work with pure spirit. There was clear information to it that this was nonphysical light.  Also there was a spiraling of a sort of lightstar, like in the drawing game ‘spirograph’, that was moving towards a lightsource, it seemed to happen on a finer level, but I could  look into it in that moment. Love it when things like this happen. Keeping the light(being?) that came to me in my awareness, it stayed with me. Until my thoughts wandered away. Renewing the focus to it, it was there again. Being held in this light, the pain and conditionings in the body, also inherited, became very clear. Then the light merged with the physical body more. Then it became more invisible.  I now was simply in my body.

Should I say that here? We are to promote healing, awareness, which is realy love. Surrender is the greatest medicine. So that pils and operations will be less needed. Not saying that shouldn’t happen. We can be greatfull for them when they are needed. But we also know of the side effects.

Well ofcourse I doubt telling from these remarkable experiences. At the same time can’t wait to tell them. These experiences, I cannot evoke by will power. Perhaps I could when I was a very masterfull yogini. But obviously life’s experiences are my scholing way. So these light experiences are gifts from the universe. Might make a difference I’m the sort of person open to this. And I meditate regulary and do yoga and sufi practices. And am involved in distant healing for a long, long time. That happens on the finer levels too.

Whereas before we were adviced to keep our lips sealed, these days we begin to carefully relate from our mystical experiences, because we are ready. It also helps the merging of the mystical with medical science. For the advantages as said above. Our mystical experiences are part of life. They make us bloom more fully. Feel more whole. No more gab between spirit and matter. Everything is energy.

Sufis cast their (by the celestial purified and depersonalized, de-egonized) glance inwardly into certain areas of the body, like shining a searchlight on it. What comes to the light becomes light. Issues get sorted out, pain dissolves. In modern psychology it is the approach to feel into, as they say: ‘leaning into’ the physical sensations, because that’s how emotional pain manifests, in the body.  The older generation, like my mum’s, didn’t get these meditation/psychology tools handed out. In that case, healing is needed, like in the report in the posting ‘loosening a painbody’.

Worked on the colors, they come quite close now.  Only the lightsource the star moved to was more in front of me in a space, not filling a whole sky like on the picture.

Being highly sensitive

Seeing the aura’s of people, feeling how they are feeling like it’s in me. Energy and intentions of voices experienced within. That’s why probably involved in healing work. I’m learning how to transmute things these days, things that are too difficult to handle for some of us, me having been handed out the techniques for it, although it’s also still a process of discovery. But it’s good! 
Lifestyle adapted to it. Sometimes complicated in front of family, neighbors, friends. Without showing of about it, good to hear it’s a miracle happening in front of others like it is said in a hsp fb group and evolutionary it’s up to date. 
That’s about encouraging and support for a difficult thing, particularly on days the environment isn’t going to give any understanding of it. I know, I’m the one supposed to give understanding. That can happen if it’s not scary anymore, like in the old days being burned as a witch for it. We are lucky to live now, science beginning to give it the proper place. These things being written about openly. Because as it is said, everyone will evolve into this direction. The tricky thing is that in old esoteric systems these thing were to be kept s(e)(a)cret 🙏 because of the misinterpretations. Nowadays we are carefully beginning to exchange our experiences with each other.

In the hsp fb group a lot of advertising is going on how to handle it. Indeed are the structures in the work environment not supportive. Mainly this comes down to an opportunity to be able to have a good deep rest and letting washed away the overstimulation. The sufi elements breath’s are designed for this in fact. Some yoga practice. All common sense really.

Time for some cultural updates! How about a silence room with some yoga mats in the office building? 

When we lived in England, a friend had set up a little Montessori school in the village. Each kid had it’s own mat. They were taught to leave each other alone when sitting on this mat…. 

Archetypes

What helps to go beyond the narrow confines of the ego during the meditation after a yoga session, is to attune to an archetype, like the many Hindu gods and goddesses all represent certain qualities that we can incorporate in ourselves, varying in various times according to our needs. There are many, not only the Hindu ones, but from the entire spectrum of all the traditions.
Or if that does not feel like you want to do, you can simply be in one quality, for example peace, just abide in peace.

For a quality like insight, one can attune to Buddha.

Purity of our soul is Mary.

Mastery for situations in our life Abraham.

And so on.

Or you can simply feel carried by the presence of all the masters saints and prophets, you feel your consciousness merge with their consciousness.

Color breath

You may notice, during the observing of the flow of breath through certain areas of the body that way releasing tension, with eyes closed, that it has a certain color.
I often see spring green, which has a life giving, healing and harmonizing quality.

It nourishes the tissues, the cells. Think of the workings of breath as it enters the lungs, comes in the bloodstream, exchanging particles of prana, light, with the blood cells, that supply the cells of the entire body with life on each in breath. The cells like this, they giggle and sparkle, as our teacher described it, enjoying  the dance of the electrons and photons dancing the dance of Shiva, in the ecstasy of being nourished with light.

Don’t exaggerate this, just watch the natural flow of breath as it comes and goes, quietly in a relaxation and more energetic and active during a stretching pose.

Een zinnetje wat geregeld terugkomt tijdens de yogales als we met de grondoefeningen bezig zijn.
Ook tijdens de yin yoga houdingen kun je dit naar believen laten gebeuren.
Omdat je een tijdje in zo’n houding kunt verblijven, kun je op je gemak volgen wat er gebeurd. Als er bijvoorbeeld een ophoping van energie of spanningen in de onderrug is, vloeit dit af naar de aarde.
Door je er aandacht er op te laten schijnen kun je dat nog versterken.
Op de uitademing voel je de spanning wegstromen.

Er bestaat een verhaal dat in vroegere tijden, nadat een man terugkwam van de jacht en het lichaam enorme inspanningen had verricht, hij een half uur plat op zijn rug op de grond ging liggen om het lichaam weer te herstellen en te harmoniseren aan de energie van de aarde.
Stel je voor, de aarde is een enorme magneet met een magnetisch veld waar jij deel van bent en zij regenereert en geeft tegelijkertijd. Zuigt de spanningen bij je weg. Voedt de cellen van je lichaam met het magnetisme van de aarde.

Tot mijn grote verbazing heb ik mijn vriend, die nooit yoga doet en volop in het werkende leven staat, dit spontaan een keer zien toepassen tijdens onze vakantie. We hadden een flinke rit gemaakt door Frankrijk, hij was de chaufeur. Uiteindelijk kwamen we op de camping van onze keuze uit het campingboekje en hij parkeerde de camper op een plekje naast een goed onderhouden, sappig grasveldje. Hij was zo doorgesjeesd van de rit, dat hij, nadat hij de motor had afgezet, de deur van de auto open gooide, uit de auto sprong, plat op zijn rug op het grasveldje ging liggen en daar een half uur bleef liggen.
Daarna ging het weer.

Translation:

A phrase which regularly comes back during the yoga class when we are doing the floor exercises.
Also during the yin yoga poses you can let this happen.
Because you are in a posture that you can hold on for a while, you can be at ease to follow what happens. If there is an accumulation of energy, or tension in the lower back for example, it flows into to the earth.
Shining your attention on this enhances the process.
On the exhale, feel the tension drain away.

There is a story from earlier times, how when a man came back from hunting and the body had done enormous efforts, for half an hour he’d be flat down on his back on the ground to recover the body again and regenerate and harmonize the energy with the energy of the earth.
She absorbs and gives at the same time.
Imagine, the earth is a giant magnet with a magnetic field of which you are a part. Sucks the tension away. Nourishes the cells of your body with the magnetism of the earth.

To my great surprise, I saw my friend, who never does yoga and is in full working life, apply this spontaneously during our vacation once. We had made a long drive in France, he was the chauffeur. Finally we arrived at the campsite of our choice from the camp booklet and he parked the camper on a spot next to a well-kept, lush lawn. He was so exhausted by the ride, that he dropped off the engine, opened the door of the car, jumped out, lay flat on the lawn on his back and lay there for half an hour.
Then he was ok again.

Thanks to the earth for recycling our polluted magnetism.
